Since January 1, 2009 Veolia Vatten are responsible for maintenance of Norrvattens water mains that supply 13 municipalities in Northern Stockholm with water. The pipeline is 260 km long and consists of lines between 300 to 1200 mm in diameter.
The commitment includes the eradication of acute disturbances such as water leaks, security and maintenance of approximately 1700 valves, 590 valve chamber and a large number of venting fixtures and drain fittings.
Norrvatten retains operational responsibility, Veolia Water provides specialized knowledge, staff and the necessary machinery for monitoring and reaction to faults and planned maintenance.
